shyara cheesmur

Shyara has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Initially her practice was a much needed balance to a challenging career in Forensic Science. It then became a place of stillness and calm away from the happy chaos that ensued on the arrival of her three children. Once all three children were at school, Shyara was able to train as a yoga teacher certified through a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training.

Shyara's goal is to help clients develop a yoga practice that works for them as individuals. Her classes focus on being truly present in order to tune into what our bodies are telling us with the aim to practice with kindness and truth, using the practice to release both physical and mental tension. Her classes hope to bring fluidity, strength and ease to the body, as well as calmness and peace to the heart and mind.

Her teaching style is based on her own yoga practice and incorporates elements of  Iyengar, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin and restorative yoga.

"I love yoga for so many reasons! It helps us get out of our own heads, it keeps us honest, makes us feel strong, reminds us to breathe and helps us stay focused. To share yoga with others is a true privilege".
