Join Catherine and special guest teachers for two long weekends of deep learning, rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.

The Movement School of Yoga 50 Hour Restorative & Nidra Yoga Teacher Training consists of two long weekend intensive trainings on the practice and teaching skills for Restorative yoga poses and the core principles Yoga Nidra.

Not only will you receive the personal benefits of both a Restorative Yoga and a Yoga Nidra practice, but you will learn to teach both in this double certification training.

Upon graduation, you are certified to teach both Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra as stand alone practices, or to incorporate within yoga sessions such as adding Yoga Nidra or Restorative poses to the end of asana practices.

All training takes place at our beautiful studio in Haywards Heath

Why this style of yoga and meditation?

Both Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra offer immense benefits to practitioners (and teachers!) including balancing our nervous systems, boosting our immune system, healing emotional trauma or stress, and calming the mind. These styles are also extremely commercially valuable for a dedicated teachers interested in offering a variety of styles to their students, whether via classes or retreats.

what you’ll learn

 

restorative YOGA

Restorative Yoga utilises passive stretching and the use of props to promote deep relaxation and restoration. Usually poses are held for 5 to 20 minutes. A purely restorative class includes anything from 3 - 6 poses. Less really is more!

  • Restorative yoga practices

  • Yoga nidra practices

  • Soothing pranayama breathwork

  • Doing business through a yogic lens

You will practice, study and teach all common asanas and variations. You will explore the many components of individual asanas as well as how to sequence them effectively for a diverse range of students. 

 

Teaching

  • Sequencing classes

  • Creating various class themes

  • Proper cueing

  • Simple hands-on assists for relaxation

  • 8 hour time commitment per training day

  • Course material and assignments are studied in your own time during the training breaks

  • You are supported and mentored throughout the course in the practice and business of yoga going forward

11am-12:30 - Meditation + Morning Practice

12:30-13:30 - Break followed by discussion Group

13:30-15:30 - Morning Workshop

15:30-17:00 - Lunch break | Self Study

17:00-19:00 - Afternoon workshop + Yoga Nidra
