Having always had a passion for health and wellbeing, the birth of Eleanor’s second daughter triggered the leap into Pilates, which saw her leave her London career in fashion education and the commute behind. Eleanor subsequently gained her Level 3 Matwork Pilates qualification in 2018 and Reformer Pilates in 2019.

Eleanor firmly believes that Pilates is for everyone and is beneficial to everyone, so much so that it should be in the national school curriculum! Pilates to Eleanor is a very nurturing form of exercise. She offers a mindful Pilates, emphasising the connection with the breath.

“But what about the yoga” you say? Eleanor found the mystical practice of yoga while working in London. The amazing lady who taught her was in her late 70s and moved like a willow. Eleanor found solace and serenity in the practice of yoga, as she was a wild party animal who burned the candle at both ends in those days. Yoga stayed with Eleanor and got her through the pressure of her Russian degree and MA in International Relations. Eleanor completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with the  wonderful teachers of The Movement in 2022.

When Eleanor isn’t teaching yoga or Pilates, she can be found in the NHS, where she enjoys working in professional healthcare. Its here where her knowledge of breathwork has played a big role in supporting some of her more nervous patients.

Eleanor has total respect for the body, its ability to heal itself in the right conditions. Whether it is yoga or Pilates, Eleanor brings her obsession with alignment, her soul and enthusiasm to all her classes. This little yogi can’t wait to share her Pilates with the wonderful community at the Movement.

Eleanor lives in Haywards Heath and is a mother of two girls who are now both in Primary School.

Eleanor is qualified to teach: Pilates (Matwork and Reformer), Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
