ana maria conneely

After studying fine art and years spent hustling in the creative world, burnout led her to pause, and in that pause, yoga found her. Living in Guatemala with her grandmother and reconnecting with her maternal roots, she discovered a practice that offered not just physical grounding, but a way to return to herself. It was the beginning of a lifelong path.

Alongside yoga, she is a qualified clinical massage therapist, and her understanding of the body deeply informs her teaching, blending intuitive movement with anatomical insight and a trauma-aware approach. She is especially passionate about the philosophical roots of yoga, seeing it as a powerful framework for easing pain, deepening embodiment, and building inner strength.

She currently teaches in London and Haywards Heath, yoga retreats in Ireland, and is an associate teacher at a psychology practice, where she leads both group and 1:1 trauma-informed yoga sessions. Her classes are known for their depth, warmth, and moments of joyful play.  A reflection of her self-confessed inner nerd and love of learning. (Her spirit animal is the orca, in case you were wondering.)
